PART 3 - Conversations - Eating out - Practice 2

Questions 1 - 3 refer to the following conversation:
W: Excuse me..... I've heard that you've got really good desserts here. Which one do you recommend?

M: Well, I really like the creéme bruleée- we make it fresh every day. And, the lemon pie is also really popular, I think we've sold at least ten tonight.
W: Mmmm, I do like lemons, but maybe that's too sour. But I heard that some of your food comes from your own garden; do you have any desserts made with ingredients from your garden?
M: Yes, we have a really tasty mix of fresh fruit that is served with ice cream. Would you like to try it?

Questions 4 - 6 refer to the following conversation:
M: Hey, are you in charge here? I have to say that I'm really not happy with the service here.
W: I'm sorry to hear that sir. Please tell me what went wrong and how I can help.
M: Well, I wanted to find out what kind of low-fat dishes you offer, but our waiter was kind of rude when I asked. And then, the food took forever to arrive. We had to wait for over half an hour.
W: Ok, well, I'll certainly have to speak with the waiter about his behavior. And I'm sorry to hear about the delay. To make up for your trouble, could I bring everyone at your table a free dessert?
Questions 7 - 9 refer to the following conversation:
M: Hi, could I have a cheeseburger and a small fries for me, and a chicken sandwich for my girlfriend. Oh, and one chocolate milkshake and one medium Coke.
W: Ok, I've got your food order. But, I'm sorry sir, unfortunately our milkshake machine is broken today.
M: Hmm. Ok, no problem. I guess I'll have two Cokes instead. Can I pay with a credit card?
W: Sure. We accept cash, Visa, and Mastercard, but not any of the other credit cards.
Questions 10 - 12 refer to the following conversation:
M: Do you know Jennifer the software developer on the third floor? I'm thinking about asking her out to dinner sometime. What do you think?
W: You should go for it. As far as I know, she doesn't have a boyfriend right now. You should take her to Sakura Sushi. I really like their food and they have such beautiful décor - lots of Japanese paintings and furniture.
M: Sounds like a good choice for a first date. That's on 5th Street, right? And, is the service pretty good there?
W: Yeah, I've just been there once, but the staff were really nice. And yes, it's on 5th, I think it's right across the street from the art museum.
Questions 13 - 15 refer to the following conversation:
W: Excuse me, can I ask you a question about your menu? I'm a vegetarian, so I'm wondering - is there any meat in the Vietnamese Stir Fry?
M: Yes, there is some pork in that one, but I'd be happy to help you pick something else. We have lots of dishes with just vegetables. And, if you eat fish we have a great Spanish style fish soup.
W: I do eat fish sometimes, so I think I'll try that soup as long as it's not too spicy. Does it come with bread?
M: Yes, it's served with a nice dark bread. And don't worry about the spice, it's pretty mild. I think you'll like it.
